Flag Day 2011
This day of the year was set aside as Flag Day to honor the creation of the banner that represents The United States of America. Since 1777, it has gone through several changes, all symbolizing the state of America at the time, most notibly, the field of stars representing the individual states. The result is still the recognizable as our flag.
As for me.... I stand and salute with hand over heart....
I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America,
And to the Republic for which it stands,
One Nation, under God, Indivisible,
With Liberty and Justice for all.
