Can You Spot What's Missing From These Photos?
Here are some hints:
- Almost every home that is occupied, and on the market, has it
- Vacant homes that have been professionally staged, never have it
- When present, it eats up real estate

So what's missing from each of these photos?
Clutter!
It's amazing what this 7-letter word can do to a home that's on the market. To help sellers, I created a blog post on my home staging website, http://atlantahomestaging.net that addresses, by room, the clutter-like items that sellers need to address. You can read it here.
As for vacant homes that have been professionally staged - they never have clutter. It's one of the reasons why buyers are drawn to the home from the Internet. Once there, they can visualize living the life-style created for that particular home. In fact, I was just told that the buyer of a home I had staged in Virginia Highland wanted to move into the home and simply bring just his tooth brush. It made my day!
